About Us

I created the site some time ago with healthy eating as the primary goal.

Six years ago I had open heart surgery to repair my aorta. Since then I’ve been on a reduced sodium diet. The FDA says we can have as much as 2300 miligrams of sodium a day. The AMA says adults should have less then 1500 mg. And the American Heart Association says we should be under 1300 mg.

When asking my doctor he said the least is best for me. I also read an article that mentioned that the least amount of sodium to be safe is around 150 mg.

Since then the environment on our planet has been put through the wringer. I have now dedicated wecansaveourfuture.com to informing people about what is going on around the world, what everyone can do to make a difference, as well as healthy choices that can affect our personal lives.

Here’s to a better future.
